Privacy Policy
Effective September 25, 2026
This policy explains what information Everyday Bills, Inc. ("Everyday Bills," "we" or "us") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We never sell your personal information.
1. Who we are and what this covers
This policy applies to our website, app and services. It doesn't apply to partner websites you visit from our offers, which have their own policies. Some information we collect is covered by federal financial privacy laws, such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Where those laws apply, they apply instead of, or in addition to, this policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, home address, date of birth, Social Security number, and the details of the bills you add, including biller names, account numbers, amounts and due dates.
Information about your bank account and cards: when you link a bank account through our bank connection provider, we receive your account and routing numbers, account type, and balance information needed to schedule payments safely. If you add a credit card, your card number goes directly to our card processor; we keep only the card type, last 4 digits and expiration date.
Information about your activity: payments, points, cash-outs, referrals, support messages, and how you use the app, such as pages viewed and features used.
Device information: your device type, browser, IP address, approximate location based on IP address, and information from cookies and similar technologies.
Information from others: identity verification results, information from our payment partner about your payments, and referral details when a friend invites you.
3. How we use your information
- Open and manage your account, and verify your identity
- Schedule, send and track your bill payments
- Calculate, add and redeem your points
- Send receipts, reminders, statements and account notices
- Prevent fraud, keep your account secure, and meet legal requirements
- Provide support and respond to your requests
- Improve our service and understand how it's used
- Show you partner offers that match the bills you pay, if you choose to see them
4. How we share your information
We share information only as described here:
- Our payment partner, to move money and pay your billers
- Service providers who help us run the service, such as bank connection, identity verification, email and text messaging, hosting and customer support providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Partners you choose: if you continue to a partner offer, we share your name, email and ZIP code with that partner
- Our rent reporting partner and credit bureaus, only if you turn on rent reporting: your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number (to match your credit file), lease details and rent payment history
- Organizations that sponsor you: if an employer, property manager, bank or other organization covers your membership, we share only that you've enrolled and totals across its program. Billers running bonus campaigns receive totals only. We never share your bills, amounts, bank details or points with them.
- For legal reasons, when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect you, us or others from fraud or harm
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy
We don't sell your personal information. You can also opt out of any sharing that could be used for advertising on other websites on our privacy choices page.
5. Bank connection data
We connect to your bank through a secure bank connection provider. We never see or store your online banking username or password. You can disconnect your bank anytime by removing it from your Profile or closing your account, and you can also revoke access through your bank.
6. Identity verification
Federal law requires us to verify the identity of people we move money for. We use your Social Security number, date of birth and address only for identity verification, fraud prevention and legal requirements. Verification isn't a credit check and doesn't affect your credit score.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the service secure and understand how it's used. You can control cookies in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing.
8. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is open and as long as needed to provide the service. After you close your account, we keep some information for as long as the law requires, such as payment and identity records we must keep for at least five years, and to resolve disputes and prevent fraud. We then delete or de-identify it.
9. How we protect your information
We use encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access for our team, two-step verification, and monitoring for unusual activity. Sensitive details like Social Security and account numbers are stored separately with extra protections. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password safe and turn on two-step verification.
10. Your choices and rights
You can update your information in your Profile, choose which emails and texts you receive, and opt out of sharing for advertising. You can also ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we collect and how we use it
- Give you a copy of your information
- Correct information that's wrong
- Delete your information, except records we must keep by law
Make a request on our privacy choices page or at privacy@everydaybills.com. We'll confirm your identity, then respond within 45 days. You can use an authorized agent, who must show proof they can act for you. We won't treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
11. California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the rights described above under the California Consumer Privacy Act. In the past 12 months, we've collected these categories of personal information: identifiers, such as your name and contact details; financial information, such as bank and bill details; government identifiers, such as your Social Security number; commercial information, such as your payments and rewards; internet activity; and approximate location. We collect them from you, your devices, and the service providers and partners described above, for the purposes described in this policy.
We use sensitive personal information, such as your Social Security number and bank account details, only to provide the service, verify your identity, prevent fraud and meet legal requirements. We don't sell personal information, and we don't knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.
12. Children's privacy
Everyday Bills is only for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
